"Jacqui is amazing at what she does. I have been going for a few years now for filler and wouldn’t go anywhere else! Highly recommend."

Dermal fillers are a non permanent treatment of which effects can last up to two years. The fillers used in the clinic are made from hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the skin, which is responsible for hydration and the elasticity of the skin.
As we age the hyaluronic acid in the skin depletes, causing us to lose elasticity and volume. These dermal fillers can restore this resulting in a fresh, more youthful appearance. When administered expertly, the filler can act as scaffolding recreating the lost contours of the face.
Thank you for booking your appointment. The practitioner that will be treating you is Jacqui Simpson. Although you may have already had a consultation, a full consultation will be given before your treatment and you will be given the opportunity to ask any further questions.
Things to remember
Please turn up for your treatment on time. Due to the popularity of the clinics, if you are late for your appointment unfortunately you will be unable to have your treatment; the deposit will not be transferred or refunded.
Please note effects of the filler are dependent on the amount you have. An estimate of what you need for the look you desire will be discussed at your consultation. When looking at pictures of celebrities - please take into consideration that it is likely they have had multiple treatments to gain the results. There will be no compromise to your safety and the practitioner reserves the right to refuse to treat; should it be felt that you are putting your looks, health (physical or mental) at risk by having treatments.
For your information:
Pain: Immediately after you may notice some slight tenderness, redness or pains around the injection site. Please do not worry this should settle within 72 hours.
Bruising: If you do happen to bruise this will be evident to the practitioner immediately after treatment and will be discussed with you. Bruises can look unsightly but will generally cover with some concealer. Injections in the mucous membrane may cause more oedema and bruising due to the specific physiology of these tissues. Ice and arnica lotion or tablets will help.
Unwellness/Medical Emergency: If you feel unwell, it is unlikely that this will be due to a reaction from the treatment, this would have usually happened during or just after the procedure. In the event you are worried and would like some advice please call your practitioner in the first instance. Every effort will be made to ensure this communication line is available but cannot be guaranteed. If you think you have a life threatening emergency or medical problem then the appropriate channels should be sought.
Swelling/Inflamation: Please remember the morning after the treatment the swelling is likely to be at its worst, do not worry this is completely normal and will settle as the day goes on.
Treatment results
Treatment can take up to two weeks to settle and reveal true effect, please do not be worried should you notice slight asymmetries during this time, sometimes one side of the face can swell more than the other.
Taking this into consideration, when planning for a special event, the first treatment should be 4 weeks prior to the special date to allow optimum results.
You will not be required to come back for a routine check up but if you do have any concerns please contact us.
Effects should last around 24 months depending on the type of filler used, however no personal guarantees can be given. Generally people who do not smoke, drink alcohol, use sun beds, use high sun factor protection drink lots of water and have a healthy lifestyle will see the effects last longer. It is recommended to drink at least 2.5 litres of water to keep the filler hydrated. It is possible to have further treatment once the swelling has subsided in most cases but must be at least two weeks from last injection.
Immediately post treatment
Note: It may be possible to take anti-inflammatory medication to reduce swelling, speak to your practitioner for advice.
12 hours post treatment
14 days post treatment
Ongoing Concerns
Syringes of filler are single use only and the smallest quantity supplied is 0.5ml. In the event you require any asymmetries correcting then this will be charged at the rate for 0.5ml. In the unlikely event you do not like the filler then this can be dissolved. You will usually be asked to return after a two week trial period to enable you to make your decision once you have seen the true results after all swelling has gone. There is a fee for this service.
Please note the effects of the filler are dependent on the amount you have, areas injected and technique. An estimate of what you need for the look you desire will be discussed at your consultation. When looking at pictures of celebrities please take into consideration that it is likely they have had multiple treatments to gain the look they have. There will be no compromise to your safety and the practitioner reserves the right to refuse to treat should it be felt that you are putting your looks or health – physical or mental – at risk by having further treatments.
There are many different manufactures of dermal fillers on the UK market most of which have been tried and tested by our practitioner. The products of choice at present are Juvederm and Belotero. However if you have previously had dermal filler and have been happy with the product and results, then we would be happy to order the product of your choice. This will be discussed with you at your consultation.
The products are ordered and dispensed from a UK pharmacy.
Treatment takes 20-30 minutes with an additional 30 minutes for local anaesthetic. For multiple treatments the treatment time will be longer.
The results can be seen immediately. However it is important to note you may be swollen or bruised. This will settle over the following two weeks, leaving a more subtle effect.
The manufacturer’s guide of how long a treatment lasts varies by product, usually it is 9-12 months. No personal guarantee’s can be given to individuals. The duration between treatments is dependent of the individual’s desired effect. Once initial swelling as subsided it may be possible to have further treatment to the same area dependent on the number of previous treatments.
It is always a good idea to be honest with your GP about any private treatment you have had. This will enable your personal medical records to be kept up to date. Certain cosmetic treatments can potentially interact or affect past or future treatment. Following treatment, should you feel unwell or have concerns you have had a reaction you should contact your practitioner in the first instance. In the event you feel you require emergency treatment then the appropriate channels should be used.
The dermal filler used is made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid occurs in the skin, but depletes with age. Although it is a man made equivalent it is very unlikely you be allergic to it. There are certain medical conditions in which this treatment would not be suitable. There is a wide range of cosmetic treatments available; it is possible that an alternative treatment may be more suitable. Please book in for a consultation to discuss your options.
At your consultation the practitioner can give you an estimate of how much filler you will need for the look you desire. Multiple treatments may be needed.
The filler will last usually around 9-12 months. It is very common to feel after the swelling has gone down that the treatment effects have gone. This is because you are only having a small amount of product. Syringes of filler generally come in 0.5ml or 1ml - a teaspoon holds 5ml, so using this analogy you should be able to comprehend how small the amount is. If you cannot feel the filler this is normal, it hasn’t disappeared it has just been distributed into the tissues. Multiple treatments may be required dependent on the results desired.
As with all cosmetic treatments, there is a risk of side effects. As with any injections, this could cause you pain, bleeding, inflammation or bruising. Swelling is common in filler for up to two weeks. It is also not unusual to develop bruising around or close to the site of injection. Less common side effects are lumps of filler, granuloma or skin discolouration. Very serious side effects have been documented world wide such as vascular occlusion and blindness. Every care will be taken to ensure that you do not have any side effects, and although minimal you must be informed of the risks. Because of this we advise that you do have your treatment close to an important event.
The treatment is carried out with a series of injections using a short fine needle; however we cannot guarantee it is pain free as it is a needle piercing your skin. You will be asked to attend your appointment 30 minutes prior to treatment time to have a local anaesthetic cream applied topically to your skin beforehand. The filler used also contains Lidocaine that is a local anaesthetic.
Absolutely not! Syringes of filler are single use only. Changing the needle does not protect from cross contamination. Please avoid any practitioner who offers this service for your own safety.
As above! There is an option for a 0.5ml syringe of filler, but this is a single use syringe with 0.5ml of product – not ½ of a 1ml syringe. Again please avoid places offering ½ syringe – this is very different to a single use syringe.
In most cases the maximum filler that the practitioner will inject in the lips is 1ml at a time. Your lips can swell more than double the size so it is important that this is taken into consideration. There will be no compromise to your safety and the practitioner reserves the right to refuse to treat should it be felt that you are putting your looks or health physical or mental at risk by having further treatments.
The strictest standards are followed in infection prevention and control. The treatments are carried out in a clean environment, your practitioner will be wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to protect both parties. Your skin will be cleansed prior to injection. Please do not be afraid to ask your practitioner to wash her hands in front of you.
